During the period from 2012 to 2014, a clinical trial of sulforaphane and sulforaphane in the prevention of airborne pollutants was reported by Johns Hopkins University and China-initiated Liver Cancer Research Institute.

Test one:
Radish glucosinolate / sulforaphane can promote the discharge of air pollutants by human body mechanism
Test protocol: 50 healthy adults, randomized to two groups, 350 mg glucosinolate or 25 mg sulforaphane/day. And benzene, crotonaldehyde, acrolein and ethylene oxide as indicators.
Test conclusion: The discharge of benzene, crotonaldehyde and acrolein in urine increased by 20% to 50%, respectively. There was no difference in the therapeutic effect between the Radish glucosinolate and the sulforaphane group.
Test two
Radish glucosinolate / sulforaphane can quickly and continuously promote the body's discharge of air pollutants
Test protocol: 291 healthy adults, 262 mg glucosinolate and 7 mg sulforaphane/day, with benzene, acrolein, crotonaldehyde and alanine aminotransferase as evaluation indicators.
Test Conclusions:
Fast: Benzene and acrolein emissions increased by 61% and 23% after 12H, respectively
Continuous: The discharge of benzene and acrolein remained stable within 12W, and the discharge of crotonaldehyde gradually increased.
Safety: sulforaphane has no toxic side effects
